It’s a rare and special thing when a mother and daughter can find an activity they
love to share.
And that’s just what Prescott High School Student Amber Fillingim and her mother,
Shelley, have together as volunteers for the Trauma Intervention Program (TIP).
The organization’s credo is "citizens helping citizens in crisis," and that’s what
you’ll find this team accomplishing together three times a month during their 12-hour
shifts. In fact, volunteerism is alive and well in our Prescott area, and we’ll
introduce you to two more young women featured in the August/September Prescott Woman
Magazine who are also making things happen.
